Merry Christmas! I hope you are enjoying this holiday season!
Sometimes good ideas come when you least expect them to. I thought of this really simple Christmas decor idea when I was out walking my dog. We passed by an evergreen tree and I did a double take. I instantly loved the way the branches and greenery looked. It screamed Christmas to me.
I knew I had some red candle holders and a wooden box in storage that I wasn't using. So I got them out, cleaned them up, and got to work. I went outside and snipped a few evergreen branches off the tree and used all of my supplies to create this beautiful candle box for my foyer. I love it!
Back in the day I purchased the wooden box from Home Goods for around $7 (here is a dupe you can buy), the red candle holders from Ikea for around $10 (it came in a bundle of 6; I can't find the Ikea ones online but here is a dupe) and white tea lights online. And of course the evergreen tree decor was free (thank you Mother Nature) so all in all it was very cheap and took no time to put together.
I really like to keep my Christmas decorating on the simpler side. I love fresh greenery, pinecones, poinsettias, berries, and candles. White lights and lots of reds and golds. It's amazing what you can find out in nature that can really spice up your holiday decorating.
I hope this inspires you to make something really festive and beautiful for your home over the holidays.
