Green Monster Spirulina Smoothie Bowl | Nutrient Dense & Antioxidant Rich Vegan Snack Recipe



If you like smoothies, smoothie bowls, and lots of fruit recipes, you have come to the right blog! I really love fruit and enjoy creating recipes with natures candy! Fruit is beautiful, nutritious, and full of micro and macro nutrients. Today I'm sharing a new favorite product that you can add to your smoothies for an extra nutrition boost!

Spirulina, a dried and pulverized cyanobacteria blue-green algae, is arguably one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet. It's a superfood plant source, very high in protein as well as vitamins and minerals like niacin, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and iron. It's full of omega-3's and essential amino acids and especially high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.


It's a great all natural daily supplement that can be added to your morning smoothie or shake to keep you healthy and feeling good. You can pick up the spirulina in your local grocery store in the vitamins section.

Here's an easy and colorful smoothie bowl recipe using spirulina powder and lots of other beautiful whole plant foods to make an antioxidant rich cancer fighting vegan snack bowl!

A perfect little treat to eat on a hot day!



Green Monster Spirulina Smoothie Bowl Recipe | Vegan

2 frozen bananas

1/2 cup frozen mango

1/2 cup frozen pineapple

1 cup unsweet coconut milk

1/2 cup orange juice

1/2 Tablespoon chia seeds

1 teaspoon Spirulina powder

Pour all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until creamy and smooth! About 2 minutes. Pour into 2 bowls and cover it with your favorite toppings!

Topping inspiration: strawberries, blueberries, granola, coconut flakes, cacao nibs, goji berries, and hemp seeds!
