Matcha tea is 100% green ancient tea leaf powder with a myriad of health benefits. The combination of the natural caffeine and I-theanine (an amino acid found mostly in green and black tea and some mushrooms) boosts energy without the nervous jitters and anxiety that often come with drinking coffee. It's a healthy way to start the morning!
This powerful tea is full of antioxidants, it enhances mood, stimulates metabolism, lowers cholesterol, detoxifies, and improves skin.
I like to enjoy matcha tea (1-2 tsp) with a cup of hot water or as a mid-morning latte - see recipe below! This powder can also be used in baked goods and snacks for added nutrients as well as a a bright green color pop. Either way matcha tea powder can be used in a variety of ways and is a great healthy staple to have on hand in your cupboard.
